What might be on your mind

This isn’t your average “How many casual leaves do I get?” section. This is the FlytBase Vibe Decoder. If you’re considering joining us, these questions (and answers) will help you figure out if this is the kind of place you’ll thrive—or want to run from. Both are good outcomes. We’ve shared exactly what you need to know—like how we work, what we value, and whether the robots run the place.

💛 Culture Questions we actually get

01. What kind of people thrive at FlytBase?

The curious. The fast. The full-stack.
People who don’t need permission to build things. Who runs experiments for fun. Who rewrite job descriptions mid-loop. If you’re high-agency, self-directed, love solving hard problems, and believe joy and excellence belong together—you’ll probably love it here.

02. What kind of people don’t thrive here?

People looking for clear ladders, fixed job roles, or safe projects. People who wait to be assigned work. People who resist feedback, or treat cynicism like personality. We’re intense, we move fast, and we don’t babysit. You won’t be micromanaged. You will be expected to own your loop.

03. Do you really let people go for cultural reasons?

Yes. We hire slowly, and we part ways when there’s persistent misalignment. If someone drifts, refuses feedback, or spreads passive negativity—they’re gone. Not to be harsh—but to protect the team’s momentum and joy.

01. What does “AI-native” actually mean here?

It means we use AI not just as a tool—but as an operating system.
Our product teams, designers, ops folks—everyone—think in loops, agents, and systems.
If you’ve only used ChatGPT to write blog posts, no worries.
But you’ll need to rethink how you work with AI from day one.

02. Do I need to know drones?

Nope. We’ll teach you what you need.
What matters more is your ability to learn fast, ask sharp questions, and build from first principles.

03. What are the work hours?

We don’t track hours.
We track momentum.
That said—we work from the office. We jam late sometimes. We reset loops fast.
It’s not 9-to-5.
It’s “Get your loop to done, learn a ton, and have maaza doing it.”

04. What’s the vibe in the office?

High energy. Lots of whiteboards.
Spontaneous jams. Brain-melting prototypes. Birthday posters. Dumb jokes.
People who love their craft and want to get better.
We’ve been told: “It feels like a startup from the early 2000s—if they had GPT-4.”

01. What’s your hiring process like?

A fast, focused, loop-driven experience.
We’ll look for:
‍
* First-principles thinking

* Coachability

* Cultural alignment

* Energy and agency

* A real loop you’ve owned

We don’t care much about resumes.
We care about your curiosity and compounding velocity.

02. What happens in my first 30 days?

We plug you into real work fast—but not alone.
You’ll shadow loops. Scope your first one. Get feedback.
You’ll meet your pod. You’ll jam with AI. You’ll probably break something.
It’s all by design.
You’ll also meet your pod captain and start your H3 loop (happy, healthy, high-performing).

01. Why do people keep saying “loop”?

Because everything here is a loop.
Feedback loop. Product loop. Culture loop.
Even growth = feedback + clarity + reps.

02. What’s “maaza aayega”?

It means: Joy is the goal.
If the work doesn’t energize you, if the team doesn’t excite you, if you’re not learning—you’re in the wrong loop.
We don’t chase joy after success. We use it to get there.

03. Do you have HR policies?

Yes. They’re human.
We have unlimited leave. Flexible setups. You just need to act like an adult.
There are no birthday mandates or office chore wheels.

04. If I join and it doesn’t click, can I leave?

Absolutely. We believe in mutual alignment, not guilt.
You can leave with grace. We’ll even help if we can.
No hard feelings—just clear loops.
